I especially agree with the comment about cramping. Shouldn't be a problem after week one as thats when you learn to adjust. It was a well know fact days before the game what the temps etc. were going to be like. While I don't know too much about cramping issues, I would suspect that it won't be a problem for this Saturday (high of roughly 70).
 

Everyone is different. I rarely drink water and have never cramped up in HS or during my current athletic activities. I've been to a number of HS football games this year and there has been cramping in every game. The officials have been taking manditory water breaks for both teams at the mid point of each quarter and cramping is still an issue.

Exactly those little black pellets bring in so much heat. I can't remember where I saw it but I think the new practice field turf is supposed to absorb less heat. If this is correct, are they planning on installing that surface at the stadium?
