Brewster’s record at Minnesota is 14-23 overall, 6-18 in the Big Ten, 0-3 against Wisconsin, 0-3 against Iowa, 0-3 against Ohio State and 0-1 against North Dakota State.

And your point is?

You are a hater. He's a great recruiter and could sell ice to Eskimos. Extend him now!

The state’s top two rated players for the Class of 2010, five-star offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson of Cretin-Durham Hall and four star defensive tackle Beau Allen of Minnetonka, remain unsigned and have given no indication that Minnesota is their top choice.
Right now, Minnesota’s recruiting class is ranked seventh in the Big Ten, the worst in Brewster’s tenure.

Actually, Rivals has them at #6 in the BT (and #33 overall), granted Scout does have them at #7 in the BT (but #38 overall). Where were they before Brew again?

Find me an eskimo who can throw a tight spiral to a wide open receiver ten yards downfield. Living on whale blubber doesn't lend itself to developing 4.4 speed, either.

...right where they are now!

Those are "facts" according to ESPN/scoutsinc. The "facts" according to Rivals say that the U has verbals from 2 of the top 3 players in the state. Funny how you can sway these "facts" to support your arguement. It's also a "fact" that according to Rivals, no Big Ten school has signed a 5-Star recruit thus far.

You are right, those recruiting databases are a little subjective, however, we are arguing whether or not the Gophers have the 6th or 7th best recruiting class in the Big Ten. That's not good.
His record as a head coach cannot be argued. They are what they are.

Everyone knows Scout.com is better than Rivals.com.

Again, what were your expectations for Brewster? Did you expect Big Ten titles from the get go? If so, I guess I can see the reason for your disappointment. It's a process, it takes time, patience is required.

I agree that patience is required and that it takes awhile for a program to break through, but I'm not seeing any professions here. I'm not convinced the ship is heading in the right direction. In fact, I'm convinced it's heading the wrong direction.
I guess I would feel a little better if Minnesota was at the very least competitive in games against the really good teams, and they are not. Furthermore, his recruiting classes are getting worse and worse every year. According to Scout.com, his 2010 group is ranked 7th in the 11-team Big Ten.
