The Gophers in my opinion need to win the first 4 games to get a leg up on recruiting. You can do all the evalution and selling you want, but most of the kids want to see wins. There still comes a point where a kid looks at the bottom line. 3-9 can stir a whirlwind of thoughts in a 17-18 year old kid. Just saying.....

Flywheel (a salute to the Marx Brothers?) is right. we need the first four. The B10 schedule, home and away arrangement, will make it tough to win many more than two in the conference. Maybe three if miracles are on our way...

Isnt it ironic that most years we pencil in our non conference games as automatic wins. And for about ten years it has never happened. Always dangerous penciling in automatic wins--especially the players.
