Julius Randle intends to sign a new three-year, $100 million deal to stay with Minnesota.

so basically this is going to put us right at the first apron pending what we do with minott and garza and prior to signing our draft picks. getting ready to just run it back, though i suppose that's what we said prior to last year and we traded KAT right as the season was going to start

Average salary and years remaining:

Ant - $50M (4)
Rudy - $35M (3)
Randle - $33M (3)
McDaniels - $27M (4)
Reid - $25M (4)
DDV - $12M (2)
Conley - $10M (1)
Dilly - $6M (4)
TSJ - $2M (4)
$200M Total

We definitely appear to be running it back for next season with no upgrade at PG. We have some good players on very tradable deals that can be moved to address that if a guy becomes available at the trade deadline.

As the Salary Cap explodes over the next five (5) years, we should be in decent shape but Dillingham really needs to step up and deliver this season. I'm concerned.

Finch and co. love playing Donte at the PG so I'm guessing they are done. The only hope is Tyus coming in now that Sexton is gone and Julius was overpaid. NAW has to walk to get under the 2nd apron. Not a great off season imo.

I would guess we signed Randle to stick around but there is a provision that if his new contract includes less than 5% increases, he can be traded immediately without having to wait for the 6-month period to do so.

And he wasn’t tradeable with his player option. So it was either sign him or let him walk.

Ddv drives me crazy. All I hear is how good he can be if he gets back to the Knicks form. People forget he wasn't that good before he got to Knicks and that season may have been an outlier. He's so turnover prone and doesn't move his feet on D, always reaching.

Randles pouty attitude forced the wolves to sign him. I don't think they wanted to lose his salary slot for nothing. He wasn't getting a big contract from another team, and it would be a nightmare of a season if he was a true FA. Bad shots and pouting

I like the Naz deal of he's our PF.

Still need guard play badly. Hopefully Dilly steps up if Finch allows him the chance
