Jug, Pig, Axe

2014 -> lost at Illinois -> board meltdown -> bye week -> blew out Iowa at home.

2014 -> lost at Illinois -> board meltdown -> bye week -> blew out Iowa at home.

2013 -> 2 blowout losses to start conference season -> board meltdown -> bye week -> 4 game winning streak

LET's GO!

Jerry Kill @ MN After Bye Week
2014: Win 51-14 over Iowa
2014: Win 24-17 over Northwestern
2013: Loss 20-7 to Wisconsin
2013: Win 20-17 over Northwestern
2012: Loss 21-13 to Northwestern
2011: Loss 41-14 to Nebraska

In order of most likely to win to least likely to win:

Axe
Jug
Pig

Think getting 1 of 3 will be tough though.

Not facing a pissed off Michigan team coached by Jim Harbough.

Let's not forget the possibility of some Minnesota weather that might sweep in to lend a hand!

As this season began I had a good degree of confidence we could hold onto Floyd and the Jug for at least one more year before Ferentz and Harbaugh got their houses in order, and that we were good enough to finally end the streak against Bucky. Now, I have zero confidence we will retain the Pig or Jug, and we may need our best game of the year just to bring the Axe back home. If we get to end the season in possession of just one trophy, I really hope it's the Axe. I'm so sick of losing to Wisconsin.

^^^^^^^

Ferentz a huge surprise this year, plus it's a night game there with "blackout" new unis and a noisy crowd: probably goodbye to the bacon. Visit the jug now as it may not be back until Harbaugh goes pro again. We have a shot at the long gone axe.
