JUCO No. 1 WR Salley Commits

6'4" 220.....through 8 games this season has 33 catches for 645 yards and 12 TDs.

Must have a good connection with the Hutchinson CC staff. Interesting to see 3 JUCO guys after that had seemed like an area where players were hardly ever coming from anymore.

Hopefully they pan out.

Did it get decided that juco doesn't count against eligibility?

Wow I hadn’t even considered that. Potentially HUGE brain move by PJ and co if these guys end up having 4 years of eligibility.

Yeah like I said...Mankato State hockey style 24 year old seniors. Could be a new strategy.

A quality target for Lindsey!

I thought the portal darn near killed JC, but things must be looking up. J. Kill pulled the team out of Brewster's hole using a nice core of JC players. It would be great if JC is a new (renewed?) recruiting opportunity.

Diego Pavia has a lawsuit against the NCAA saying his JUCO year shouldn't count against eligibility. NCAA granted him a waiver while the case is be decided and is the only reason he is playing this year. Pavia won the initial court case but the NCAA is appealing the decision.

On a separate note, I wonder if PJ watched a Bill Snyder documentary recently.

I wonder why the JUCo route all of a sudden? Less NIL?
I would not be shocked if they are factoring the eligibility piece in thinking there is a good chance these guys could be older and still have quite a bit of eligibility left.

Would think they would be eligible for same NIL as anyone else so doubt that is a factor.

I would think they are playing at a CC for a reason...could be seen as genius or desperation.
