He sure did. On a shot he never would have taken if the timeout had not been called. And I'd be willing to bet that Purdue would have been defending him if the timeout hadn't been called, as well.
That was my thought as well. SportsCenter doesn't have the clip of him shooting it after the timeout, so let me know if anyone has the clip. I thought it was well after the timeout, and the Purdue players were already walking away.he shot well after the whistle for the timeout. Only an idiot would think that his shot wasn't affected by the timeout being called.

You can't knock Tubby for this one. Joseph got as good of a look at the basket as you cold ask for. He just didn't sink it.
I actually agree with Brew for once.
Two things:
1) Devoe was being guarded by Lewis Jackson as he was running down floor. Jackson was closely guarding him. It is absolutely clear that Jackson relaxed and "gave up" on the play once the timeout was called. That is what gave Devoe a clear look AFTER the timeout was called. No way would Devoe have had that "clean" of a look if the TO had not been taken.
2) Prior to the timeout, Westbrook was NOT on the floor. Tubby called the timeout to get another offensive weapon back in there. He subbed Westbrook in and Colton out after the timeout.
That all makes good sense.
Our history being what it is I prefer our chances running up the floor with 7 seconds rather than from out of bounds with 4 seconds.
