Richard Pitino knows his father Rick has had a major impact on his coaching career, but that doesn’t mean that the apple is falling close to the tree.

“I really don’t coach a lot like my father,” Richard Pitino said Monday on the College Hoops Today Podcast. “I worked for my dad and for Billy Donovan and working for Billy helped shape me into who I am today as a coach. I wouldn’t be the head coach at Minnesota if I didn’t work for Billy Donovan at Florida.”

It's not just the written story.... there is a 35 minute podcast there. Pitino talks a good portion of the time. Rothstein gives his outlook on the Big Ten. I'd say worth a listen if you're hungry. Richard is always interesting to me.
