State High School Basketball Tournament Thursday, Mar 24
Columbia Heights defeated New Prague 57-50 and this one was all about Zach Lofton who provided 31 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and an assist in the semifinal game that propels the Highlanders into the 3A championship game tomorrow at 6PM. Other contributions: Roderick Logan one-point, 5 rebounds and 3 steals, Keanu Glover 4 rebounds and Andrew Hansen 3 rebounds.
Joe Coleman had a game high 29 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals, Marvin Singleton 15 points and 12 rebounds, Siyani Chambers 10 points, 10 assists, 2 steals and a rebound, Demetrius Martin 8 points and 5 rebounds, Zach Stahl 7 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocked shots and a steal, and Andre McDonald 3 points and a rebound, in Hopkins 75-56 win over Cretin-DH. In the Raiders loss, Taylor Montero delivered 9 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and a blocked shot and C.J. Neumann 9 points and 2 rebounds. Hopkins will play Eden Prairie in the Championship game of 4A at 8PM tomorrow.
Osseo lost to Eden Prairie 67-56 and in the loss, D.J. Hebert posted 8 points, 2 rebounds, an assist and a steal.
