Worse case could bring him on as a QC analyst type like last time. Don't know the exact terms of his buyout but a lesser job shouldn't affect that

After getting burned by Kirk Ciarrocca leaving for a second time after Fleck hired him back, I doubt Fleck will risk the same thing happening by hiring Rossi back.

I doubt Fleck feels burned by Ciarrocca since his mentor Greg Schiano is who hired him+ has a strong relationship with PJ.

I would take Rossi back as Co-defensive coordinator in a heart beat, he can handle the run defense and let Rossi handle the pass defense and work together. In this instance I would be pretty clear this is a collaboration effort and not demoting Collins. Would not hurt to have two minds reviewing the film and game planning. Would help with mentoring the linebackers too which is an area we need help or additional resources.

I've tried to sell that to people I've demoted as well.
