I think we all assumed that would be the case. Sawvel is as good a secondary coach as we've seen here. Could be he got lucky on a couple 2 star recruits, but I have to imagine his coaching was a big part of how those guys turned out. Even Michael Carter looked so much better under Jay...
This seemed like pretty much a no brainer from the time that Claeys became the permanent coach. I am assuming Claeys will turn the offensive reigns over to Johnson and go back to focusing more heavily on defense (head coaches almost always skew more one way or the other even though they are involved with both) but Sawvel will become the primary defensive voice.
