Jim Souhan: Gophers’ best performance takes place after the victory

It is scary. I feel for him and his family; the end must be near.

Nice to see an article where he isn't set on kicking someone while they are lying on the ground, but he still found ways to get a few digs in (commenting on Gopher crowd and schedule). Still its better than his other Gopher-related work.

That means a lot coming from one of the most arrogant posters on here. You rarely actually discuss basketball--you just attack everyone. There's a reason so many people on here can't stand your posts. The ironic part is that your favorite thing to do is talk about others' pi$$ing matches even though you instigate them all the time. Please attack people, talk about beer, reuse jokes, and make creepy comments about GopherLady some more. Never gets old...

Austin is one of my favorite players (see previous posts). Obviously he's had a great start, but he's just not as consistently good at shooting as Welch or Andre. I don't think there's a huge difference either way, but to make a statement in the paper that Austin is the best shooter makes it seem as if it's clear cut that he is, which definitely isn't the case.

Is it possible that anything that is different from your opinion is "news to you"? :)

In this day and age, they should always grant access- it humanizes the players and builds an aura of personality around the player. Which is more likely to cause controversy- an ill timed remark to a reporter or a drunken tweet?

I think welch is probably the best overall shooter, but Austin is right behind him. I don't put Andre in that class because he has such a small body of work. We don't have an elite shooter behind the arc but I still don't think we necessarily need one. It's all about playing tremendous ball pressure defense and limiting turnovers. We aren't a team that is going to use a ton of ball movement deep in the shot clock
