Does anyone know if they are going to make more football jerseys available this upcoming year? I was only able to find Weber and Decker last year, would like to be able to have more options, Alos does anyone know if they are going to wear a gold jersey this year? I was thinking that they might at the home opener, I gotta believe that is going to be a HUGE recruiting weekend.

I didn't see any Weber jerseys that were the 'real thing'. They looked like cheap knock offs. Where did you see Weber jerseys? I would like to pick up white and gold jerseys. I bet the break the gold this year. Wisconsin maybe? The first Big Ten game in the new stadium seems like a good time.

Yeah, the quality of the jerseys available is dog-trash. I really have only seen the cheap-o ones mentioned above. I'm sure they'll continue selling those (I've seen them at the games, Gold Country, Bookstore, even Marshall's a few times...they fit in perfectly there). I really wish the U would get their stuff together on this. There are many of us out there who would buy a nice, authentic looking jersey if they were available.

I have to agree with MGG...

The replicas available are bad quality and not even close. You would think that at least BADger Country, sorry, Gold Country would make a range of jerseys available. From the cheap replicas to authentic game day types.

It's not up to Gold Country. Nike decides what numbers they produce based on prior year sales. This is what I was told when I asked if they were getting any away jerseys. So we'll need to sell a few more jerseys before we get more choices.

But, aren't the sales from Nike to Gold Country not the end customer? If they won't make a real replica jersey until sales improve how can sales of a non-existent item get better?

By what they order. If they order Jerseys, Nike is probably going to supply them. It makes zero sense to for Nike to say "No, we don't want to sell merchandise." "You are in the market affected, only Nike can possibly know what would sell there and what wouldn't." Gold Country is a chain in only two markets, Minnesota and Wisconsin. I don't expect Dick's, Marshall's, and who ever else is in this market, buyers to give a damn about supplying needs for particular teams. They just order whatever is cheap and screw up distribution, and send Minnesota stores nothing but Steelers and Packers merchandise as Dick's did when they bought out Galyan's. Gold Country stays in business by filling the needs in the markets they are in. By your logic, no Nike Gopher Hockey jerseys should be available, but going to Gold Country, you see that all three are Available. Home White, Road Maroon, and the sharp Gold Alternate.

I was just passing along what Gold Country told me. I agree with what is being said, but I doubt Nike is going to start up another production line for additional jerseys if they are only going to sell a small amount. The answer here needs to start with demand, not supply. I can't imagine Nike is too willing to stop making Gator jerseys to start up the away Gopher jerseys.

Hopefully winning will remedy this situation!
