I hate to say it, but season tickets when I went to the U were $35 a piece. That was a deal...

Whoever did the graphic of Jerry Kill for the "Jerrysota" image must have thought he was one of the original "Da Bears" guys from SNL.

I don't think they're going to get much interest at $50 a pop especially when u can get drunk at your place and stumble over

That's what I was thinking. Especially now that the entire population of Duluth can be housed on or near campus in all the new apartment buildings.

A cooler Idea would be to have the lot and charge a $5 cover to enter for any student and bring in a dj and have the band come play and have games and make it a place to hang and drink (with wristbands at the gate) so that you made it the congregating grounds for the pregame party. That's just my opinion on a pure atmosphere, get students to the game/area opinion and I'm sure there's liability/security issues but right now that lot is going to be barren at this price

I miss when students could pay for parking, set up a keg, and cover the downtown parking price selling cups for $5.

Really you guys are complaining for 50 dollar season lot pass. At Iowa state you have to pay 20 each game each vehicle to get in the lots. That's 120 for the season. You take 50 and split it between friends and that's chump change for a saeason pass.

i think most thought it was $50 per game, not $50 for the whole year. $50 for the whole year for tailgating is a bargain if in fact that is the price. I would doubt they would charge $50 per student, per game. The GLC doesn't even charge close to that for a tailgate.

Assuming it's $50 for the whole season, you can't beat that. $140 for tickets and tailgating for the entire fall? Where can I buy my fake student ID?

It is $50 for the student season parking pass (you need to be a student football season ticket holder to purchase a student parking pass). Took about 2 seconds to find that information.

To some of the others immediately poo-pooing the Jerrysota Lot concept and Gopher Marketing as usual (because that is all some seem to know how to do here on GH) this also only took about 2 seconds to find on MyGopherSports.com:

Cheers and have a great day. :p

Are people really complaining about $50 for a vehicle pass? You do realize that is just for the vehicle, right? Not every student has to pay that just to get into the lot. That is for 1 freaking car. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY cheaper than the metrodome days.

Are the students not allowed to do this? Even if say a keg is not allowed, "$5 to access my cooler" sounds like a good deal. Sure, "sell" to only wristbanded kids, but I have done this at various tailgates around the stadium. Show up, throw $5 in a bucket and feel free to grab any food or drink. Great time.

Students need to start creating the party in the lot. The resources are there to do it

They certainly could do as you say. However, $5 to drink as much as you can get out of my keg is going to be a much better business proposition than $5 to grab as many cans of beer as you want out of my cooler. I agree that the students need to be where the tailgate party starts.
