This is happening right now, moderated by Mike Grimm. I'll try to listen as much as I can and will post any nuggets that may come out of the conversation.

Thanks for the reminder, I had completely forgotten about this. Sure enough Mike Grimm just left me a voicemail.

Gonna be running a multi-formation offense, similar to Boise State.

We need to be multiple! (everyone says so)

You should take that down so the trolls and general hangers-on don't infest the call.

Had to jet out of the call early for work stuff, but here's what I remember:

- MarQueis Gray will be the starting QB when spring camp opens, and will be given every opportunity to win the job

- Every Minnesota head coach has been a good coach. He's not any better than any of those guys, but he has a system that has worked at several places previously, and he will stick to that system as long as he's coaching somewhere. He's confident it will work in the Big Ten.

- Kill likes when people that watched him as a HS coach in MO in the 80s could show up to a practice today and see him working from the same basic ideas and principles.

- Need to play with the same level of intensity and preparation on the road as we do at home - NIU did relatively well on the road against Big Ten opponents, and Minnesota needs to as well.

- Thinks that he and Gary Patterson probably talk to each other more than any two other peers in the coaching profession. Kill says Patterson is "without question" one of the best coaches in the country.

- Says he would like to add 7-9 more walk-ons before spring camp. Likes those kids because they are hungry and have the chance at a free education to play for. Seven of the starters for NIU in the 2010 MAC championship game were originally walk-ons and all 7 eventually earned scholarships (2 under Novak, 5 under him).

- Continues to reinforce how we need all Gopher stakeholders on the same page and moving forward together in order for the team to have success.
