Jerry is angling for something.
Or trying to backpedal from Sid's column.
So what did he say?
Or trying to backpedal from Sid's column.
I don't think Kill would appear with Sid and try to make him look bad by saying his story was a load of garbage.
This just adds fuel to my speculation that Sid is now Kill's agent as he is trying really hard to get Kill hired everywhere from the U, TCU, Michigan, Vikings, Tzar of NFL scouting, President of the United States, or the replacement for Supreme Leader Snoke.
You got that from "backpedal" huh?Liked the rest of the speculation though.
It certainly would not be the first time a guest on his show would tell Sid to "hold on a little there Sid". Maybe, the 3-4 thousandth time, but not the first.
Hey, but we can wait until this afternoon and maybe find out!
Kill is scheduled to be on at 2:10
pretty much - how he treated a pre game - post game....vague.
I was working so I admit I didn't pay full attention to the interview. That stated, I thought Kill hesitated a bit when Chad asked him about the possibility of being a head coach. I heard Kill say that he didn't think that was possible, but I never thought I heard him say it would never happen. It may be a moot point, but I interpreted it as a little wiggle room.- Jerry's writing a book and giving speeches all over the place.
- He just got back from TCU. When Sid asked whether he is joining that staff, Jerry was, as w/w said, pretty vague with this answer.
- Said he had "8-9" job offers.
- Kill said he definitely wasn't going to be a Head Coach again.
- Kill confirmed he wanted a liaison job between the President/A.D. and Coaches. He also denied that T.C. would be worried about Kill "looking over his shoulder". Also interesting to note that why the job sounded like it was for all sports, KILL exclusively talked about football.
- He also talked about how he was now much healthier. Getting 6-7 hours of sleep a night for the first time in years and had lost another "10-12 pounds".
- He is also going to be back in the Cities next week.

It sounds to me Kill is still adjusting to his new lifestyle. I hope he lives a long, healthy fulfilling life. I don't think he'll ever be happy playing golf and watching The Price is Right.
Let's not forget, he quit on us. So I hope he's healthy for the rest of his life and wish him well. I don't, however, feel sorry for him how things turned out here. That was his decision.
When your health is at stake, and the stress of your job is largely the cause, there really aren't many other options. It's not like he pulled one like Petrino did with the Falcons. I too hope that he remains healthy for a long, long time.
I don't think he had much choice, and I'm not trying to make him the villain. I just sense a lot of folks here professing that Kill got a raw deal from the U. We never fired the guy and couldn't come to terms on a different role. That's hardly the U being the bad guy...
