Someone just told me that both Jerry Kill and Sid will be joining Chad Hartman on Chad's show tomorrow afternoon. Could be worth a listen.

Jerry is angling for something.

Not sure why he's not in agreement with Sid if Jerry offered an outline proposal for the position he desired at the U and said this after being turned down according to Sid: Goetz told me Kill is still going to be on call to do different things for the athletic department. But I doubt he will get involved with the university because, as he was quoted as saying last week when a job didn’t materializing, “I’m more hurt by it than I am mad.”

So what did he say?

So what did he say?

It's this afternoon.

Hopefully it's Jerry saying "I'm moving to Illinois. Love ya Gophers. Good luck Coach Claeys. Please stop writing about me Sid. People are starting to resent me."

Or trying to backpedal from Sid's column.

I don't think Kill would appear with Sid and try to make him look bad by saying his story was a load of garbage.

This just adds fuel to my speculation that Sid is now Kill's agent as he is trying really hard to get Kill hired everywhere from the U, TCU, Michigan, Vikings, Tzar of NFL scouting, President of the United States, or the replacement for Supreme Leader Snoke.

You got that from "backpedal" huh? Liked the rest of the speculation though. :D

It certainly would not be the first time a guest on his show would tell Sid to "hold on a little there Sid". Maybe, the 3-4 thousandth time, but not the first.

Hey, but we can wait until this afternoon and maybe find out!

pretty much - how he treated a pre game - post game....vague.

pretty much - how he treated a pre game - post game....vague.

- Jerry's writing a book and giving speeches all over the place.

- He just got back from TCU. When Sid asked whether he is joining that staff, Jerry was, as w/w said, pretty vague with this answer.

- Said he had "8-9" job offers.

- Kill said he wasn't going to be a Head Coach again.

- Kill confirmed he wanted a liaison job between the President/A.D. and Coaches. He also denied that T.C. would be worried about Kill "looking over his shoulder". Also interesting to note that why the job sounded like it was for all sports, Kill exclusively talked about football.

- He also talked about how he was now much healthier. Getting 6-7 hours of sleep a night for the first time in years and had lost another "10-12 pounds".

- He is also going to be back in the Cities next week.

(There you go CWCWCW) ;)

I was working so I admit I didn't pay full attention to the interview. That stated, I thought Kill hesitated a bit when Chad asked him about the possibility of being a head coach. I heard Kill say that he didn't think that was possible, but I never thought I heard him say it would never happen. It may be a moot point, but I interpreted it as a little wiggle room.
It sounds to me Kill is still adjusting to his new lifestyle. I hope he lives a long, healthy fulfilling life. I don't think he'll ever be happy playing golf and watching The Price is Right.

Let's not forget, he quit on us. So I hope he's healthy for the rest of his life and wish him well. I don't, however, feel sorry for him how things turned out here. That was his decision.

When your health is at stake, and the stress of your job is largely the cause, there really aren't many other options. It's not like he pulled one like Petrino did with the Falcons. I too hope that he remains healthy for a long, long time.

It was a typical Sid Hartman Q&A, nothing we didn't already know! More or less Sid just sucking up to Jerry.

I don't think he had much choice, and I'm not trying to make him the villain. I just sense a lot of folks here professing that Kill got a raw deal from the U. We never fired the guy and couldn't come to terms on a different role. That's hardly the U being the bad guy...

I love Kill, i really do... (I think he was a better 'fire em up' coach than he was Xs and Os) but I love him...

however, we hired him to be our Head Coach. During some very troubling times with his health, this
University backed and supported him 100%, even through a lot of criticism and A LOT of risk. Even extended
him and his staff, through a lot of criticism and risk.
Jerry stepped down on his own after re-occurring health problems. What the University offered him, was exactly
where he needs to be at. He had the program turning up, but even on his 5th year, our offense never seemed to
be ranked higher than 100th in the country (why limey was fired).
In other words, I don't think he's in much of a position to pick and chose, and then feel 'hurt'.
What the U offered him was a blessing, accept it, and let's keep building.

I agree with much you say here but would not agree with you prior assertion that he "quit" on the U- he was forced into retirement due to his health

Kill could still have a role at the U doing what he wanted if money was not an issue; it was so he's not.

Position, role, title or job is a euphemism for money
