Coaches jumping ship and athletic departments being quick to pull the plug. Days of coaches staying put in the same place for long periods of time are quickly becoming a thing of the past. There are always exceptions but the turnover in coaches these days is pretty insane.

I would think that Coach Kill could be as high as third it tenure after next year. Wilson got a Mulligan this year because his QB got hurt. Ferentz's buy out starts to become doable after next season. Both coaches are considered to be on the 'Hot Seat".

How many more disappointing seasons will they tolerate at Northwestern? I understand that Northwestern's priorities are different from the other big ten schools, but he seems to always underachieve.

I've always thought Fitzgerald woefully overrated, but I think he's good in Evanston for as long as he wants to be there. One of their own and they always have the academic standards stance (of which they can be justifiably proud) to explain what disappointments they have in terms of how the football team is performing.

I think they'll be better next season. Siemian wasn't the right QB for the system Fitzgerald likes to play. They have a couple of promising dual-threat QBs on the horizon.

I tend to agree that he is over-rated. Northwestern is a unique situation though and maybe he would do better elsewhere? It just seems like they are always supposed to be better than the last year etc. They just never get over the hump and in-fact have regressed from a few seasons ago.
