Jerry Kill finally vindicated?

Watching the Belk Bowl, with Cincinnati playing the North Carolina Tarheels, I must admit I wasn't a huge fan of the $800K payout to UNC in order to shield the Gophers from having to play a talented BCS school, but after watching the first half, I'm sold. Jerry Kill and Woody Teague knew what they were doing when they wrote that check.

They also went 6-6. Up and down team. I think winning 8 games vindicated the decision though I still think it was the wrong one.
