Any word on how many snaps Jeff Jones and Berkley played last night? I did not notice either of them all game. And if they didn't play, are they injured?

I've seen people posting here on GH that Jones is nursing a concussion, but searched Twitter and can't find that from any beat writer or reporter. Also saw this from Joe Christensen:

Jones has been battling migraines is all I know. Edwards really isn't that good.

Edwards sprained an ankle or something a week or so back apparently.

Some moron on the game-day thread kept calling him Braylon Edwards.:cool02:

JJ lined up in the slot on at least one play. It was a run. Also, Kill did say he had a concussion and missed some practice time recently. After pimping him all Fall, Kill started doing a 180 a week or so back pointing out over and over that he is just a Fr and that he hasn't played in 2-yrs, etc. I'm not sure how to connect all those dots, or even if they can be.

As for Berkley, might just be he is buried on the depth chart. He showed Terrible hands last year and that really limits how we can use his talents.

Pretty sure Kill said all along that folks need to remember he's a young guy. Yesterday was his first game. Not only that but he missed a ton of the actual TCU prep practices so its not shocking he didn't play a ton. We may not have many proven guys but we have about 7-8 WRs and they can't all play a lot

There was a lot of Kill pimping JJ early in camp. Not a lot of tempering, IMO. I think he may also have said he was the best WR in camp at one point. IIRC, there was almost a light-switch approach about a week or so back where Kill started throwing up a ton of "slow down" signs where JJ was involved. I remember thinking maybe it was a smoke screen? Maybe because of the injuries and lost practice time? Not sure. I'm still very hopeful that JJ lives up to his potential - I'm hardly bailing on him after 1 game or predicting a transfer like some other folks have (based off of 1 game).

I don't think there is any doubt that JK led us to believe JJ was a weapon and moving him to receiver made our offense harder to defend. I, too, recall hearing JJ might be our best. Maybe it was just the concussion, but having him play, but not be a factor was the biggest surprise of last night for me.

Don't you think he will be gradually utilized more in games as the season progresses?

Could be that Kill realized he was setting the expectations too high early on. He could just be very excited about his talent and future but he isn't there yet.

Just guessing though.
