-Coach Horton mentioned that he had already done the press conference with Sid Hartman, and that anyone who wanted to know anything should talk to him, drawing laughter
-Said that Joe Paterno had a hard time figuring out which Minnesota coach was the head coach, and so Horton approached him and introduced himself. He added that Coach Paterno said it was a difficult situation, and to tell everyone to keep their heads up high and fight through it
-Said he was very disappointed in the loss, and that the Gophers did not do enough to win on Saturday, and won't win until they do enough
-The two biggest areas the team needs to work on are tackling and and finishing drives. Mentioned that they had 84 plays, but needs more big plays if you're going to win
-Horton then said it was nice to be "moving into the easy part of our schedule," in jest.
-Compared going into a game with Ohio State to being a surgeon, and that you have to have the confidence that you can do the job, even though the odds are stacked against them
-Said that as long as the game doesn't get canceled for some reason, the Gophers have a chance
-Mentioned they are backing off on the physicality in practice to save themselves for the games
-Said that Terrell Pryor is probably one of the top two dual threat quarterbacks in the country
-Depth Chart changes include Jon Hoese, who is doubtful for the game; Dom Alford will play more at left tackle with Ed Olson fighting a bad ankle. Ed Cotton will start at fullback.
-The team will probably practice all week inside with the poor weather conditions
-Said it was a great opportunity to show the country what this team is all about on national television
-Mentioned that it's up to the coaches to make sure the team doesn't get caught up in the luster and ranking of a team like Ohio State, and that they need to play their game and be aggressive
-Jon Hoese is a big part of the offensive and special teams, and he's going to be a player that will be missed, adding that it's someone's job to step up
-When asked about whether Gray will be used more now that Weber has surpassed 10,000 yards, Horton replied that he will use Gray the entire game at wide receiver
-Horton mentioned that he believed the team played with heart despite the mounting losses
-Mentioned that he hoped with the Halloween weekend that maybe some people will show up wearing Ohio State uniforms, but then added that it's going to be Ohio State on the field
-Said that Thomas Hammock did a great job calling the plays for his first week on the job, and that hopefully the second week will breed a little more consistency
-Said that McKnight has turned into "a human highlight film" the last few weeks, and that he's really growing as a receiver
-Also added that Gray had a nice game at receiver as well last week, and that having multiple receivers that can catch the ball allows the team to attack both sides of the field
-When asked why they would want to attack against Ohio State, as opposed to USC, which they were more conservative for, he said that it was a little different situation, and that the match-ups are different than they were
-On the comment that Jim Tressel has seen Adam Weber in his sleep this week, and whether coach Horton has seen Pryor in his sleep, he said that Adam Weber is a special player, regardless of wins and losses, and to get to 10,000 yards and do what only four others have done in Big Ten history is pretty special. On Pryor, he's always been impressed by his ability to come back from bad games like he did last week, and that the team will get Ohio State's best effort on Saturday
-Said that Ra'Shede Hageman has been re-instated by the team for this week's game
