JCJ has really upped his scoring the last 3 big ten games with 20 vs Wisc., 22 at Illinois, and 26 most recently at Ohio St. He has now raised his scoring from 9.0 ppg and 4.4 reb, to 14.1 ppg and 7.1 rebounds. He is definitely one of the top centers in the league, and he is undersized and playing out of his best position. The big lefty is really able to face up and drive.

My only complaint is the amount of 3's he is taking? He took 7 last game. I mean maybe he should take about 4 per game, and if makes 2- maybe 7 is warranted. I also don't like the amount Asuma is taking. Asuma did have a nice all around game with 8 reb, 5 ass, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. I think Tyson should be the only one attempting 7 per game.

The talent and strong play we watched from JCJ last year in the tourney has definitely transferred with him to the U. That's far from a guarantee to happen so it's satisfying when it does.
JCJ and Asuma make a fantastic foundation to build around for next year.

Dude will have a legit shot at going first team all big ten next season, could sneak into a third team this year if we win enough games

Crazy evolution for him this year. He keeps getting better, and that's as the competition gets stronger.

The people who are worried about retaining him, I'm sure he understands what happened to Tyson formerly and his past teammate, Evans currently.

And I'm sure there was more money available to him elsewhere after last year, but he chose the coach and system that he knows will make him shine.

He would be crazy to leave but tough to count on anything these days. He has a featured role here with a coach who is heavily invested in him.

As they said last night in the commentary. He keeps moving up levels and continuing to get better, that doesn't happen often. Hes the#1 guy we need to stick around this year. Obviously many candidates but if I could only pick 1 it'd be him.

Yep. Crock and Asuma are 1a and 1b priorities.
