Dribbles & Scribbles
-- #49 Miami-Ohio (20-0, 8-0 MAC) remained undefeated with a thrilling 107-101 overtime victory over host Kent State (14-5, 5-2 MAC). Senior guard Peter Suder led the RedHawks with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. Junior wing Eian Elmer added 25 points and six rebounds. The RedHawks, Arizona, and Nebraska are the nation's only remaining unbeatens.

-- #40 UCLA quickly returns to the Bubble Board with a 69-67 win over Purdue on a three-pointer by Tyler Bilodeau (14 points) with eight seconds left. Bruins PG Donovan Dent awoke from his slumber with 23 points and 13 assists.

-- #76 Oklahoma State falls off the Bubble Board with its 68-65 loss to #46 TCU. I do not consider teams with a NET ranking above #75 for at-large consideration.

Deep Thoughts, by Buzz Studley
For the first time I'm coming around to college basketball going to four quarters instead of two halves. Something has to be done about all the free throws at the end of games. Having five fouls per quarter to reach the bonus may help alleviate that problem, "may" being the operative word.
