If I recall correctly I think Jack Brewer was trying to get on the Gopher staff and was promoting himself on the radio when he got a chance. Granted the Gophers certainly ...especially the O ... didn't do anything to cheer about but Brewer has been negative from the start. He could be dealing with some sour grapes and now that he has his K-fan soap box he is much more negative than somebody with U of M ties should be.

Plus I wonder if K-fan had the Gopher games on their station if they would be this negative?

God you people are babies. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhh, someone said something negative!

Get over it. If you can't handle someone criticizing a football team I can only imagine how you take criticism in the real world.

Now that Brewer has ripped the coaching staff, we've got all kinds of conspiracy theories as to why he does it. Funny, I don't see anyone having a problem with his criticism of Weber. So I guess its acceptable for him to criticize Weber, because everyone else does, but its not OK when it comes to the coaching staff. Unbelievable.

??????

Jack Brewer is a promoter of himself which all people in the media are. He is trying to be a shock jock and it must be working because people are talking about it. Obviously from your Gopherhole name you must be Mr. Positive ... or maybe we should call you Mr. Sunshine.... King of the Whiners. Something should fit.

I'm not sure if Brewer wanted to coach on the Brewster staff or not (I know that Ron Johnson really wanted the WR coaching position).

But, I do know for sure that Jack Brewer is a Glen Mason guy through and through. They are very tight. Mason once called Brewer his favorite Gopher. So, part of Brewer's criticisms of the current situation probably deal with the fact that he is more loyal to his old coach than to his old school. Not a crime (as Brewer was from out of state and had no ties to the Gophers before his playing days), but it could explain why you are hearing what you're hearing from him.

Good points

The Mason connection might be the ticket. I just recall hearing him talk on K-fan that he would be interested and thought he could help in that position. Maybe he could have. I certainly think he would have had some appeal to recruits. I think that ship has sailed.

Ron Johnson mention on TV yesterday that he worked with Decker and the two have become friends.

Good lord, people.

--Anyone who is negative is dismissed.

--Anyone who is negative must have an agenda.

--Anyone who doesn't think things are rosy is an idiot who should have their opinion dismissed.

--Anyone who played for a different coach at the U of M is biased against the current coaches.

--Quickly seek to dismiss anyone that fits that list.

Did I miss anything? Sounds like the usual conspiratorial paranoid rantings here.

Regarding me being "Mr Positive", I judge based on results, not the blind hope that fuels every homer every season. Show me some real results and I'll be very positive. Get Henderson and I'll be positive. Go to a Rose Bowl and I'll be very positive. Do SOMETHING other than be mediocre and I'll be positive.

Its a RESULTS thing for everyone, not just here.

Brewer is a Tool...

and no friend of the program. Now he's showing up in the pressbox telling people Gray is a flight risk because he's not playing enough. Which is complete garbage.
