The Big Ten goes from being a four-bid league to perhaps having six NCAA representatives if the Gophers can find more magic against the Boilermakers. As far as MSU’s Tom Izzo is concerned, the Gophers should already be in.

“I think it proves [Minnesota’s] a tournament team, and I hope they’re in the tournament now because of maybe what they did, and then we’ll get something out of this loss,” Izzo said.

Izzo is great. Not many coaches would suspend a player for being a "bad teammate" during the conference tournament.

I don't think he really had a choice. I think this team's chemistry and character issues are far more serious than anyone realizes.
