I am a big Iverson supporter. I like the way he sets picks, rebounds, and sets a tone. Yes, I wish he had better balance and could catch and finish better. Don't let me get started on the free throws.

When he had 6'3" Kramer on him and he was 5' from the basket, can't he just turn and shoot. You'd think he'd have a decent shot at a rebound. No use to bump him, back him down. Learn to hit a 5' shot.

If they stay with the two posts Iverson will have a 6'8" or smaller guy on him the rest of the year. Learn when to bang, when to shoot, when to try an up and under..he has a good one.

I am a big Iverson supporter.

Outside of the infamous "shot" with 40 seconds left (which was insanely brutal), I thought he played great. Tubby did too. That's why he had him in the game so much.

The game is just a little too fast for him, but there are signs it is slowing down for him.

Furthermore, I do believe that, due to the dip$hit that quit the team and the other guy in street clothes, Colton is being forced to play a much bigger role than expected. We can't blame him for that.

I don't think the game is slowing down. I think his mental game is terrible right now. Look, Colton has always shown the ability and inclination to bang down low, to play tough, to play physical, and this team needs it. But until he has the confidence/ability to make a shot with a 6-3 wing guarding him, until he has the ability to make the correct decision when he has a wide open layup in crunch time, I think you have to pull him near the end of the game. Colton cost us big time. Certainly, he rebounded and played good defense at times down the stretch, but his offensive play was frankly terrible. I think there are signs of hope for next year. He's got athleticism and a grinder's mentality. If he can get his mental blocks out of the way, he could be very good.

Can't argue with most of that - although I'll give him more credit for a good game than you. I will admit it is relative. Who would have you rather had in the game at the end? Westbrook? Arguable, but he was very hard to find doing much of anything good on the floor last night - save for one shot. Furthermore, the high-low has been a big part of our resurgence.

I'll fall back to my final comment - Colton wouldn't be relied on so heavily if it weren't for the dip$hit and the other guy. That's not his fault. It's also not his fault that LW plays well below his ability every other game.

Iverson looked like he was too worried about fouling out after he collected his first few fouls. That being said, Iverson's best playing was done opposite Sampson. Iverson needs to be able to put the ball in the hoop when he is being guarded by someone 8 inches shorter than him when he is within 5 feet of the basket.

Colton has little lift so I'd LOVE the staff to bring in some tape of the Dream from his time with the Rockets and teach him the "Dream Shake". Even if you struggle with footwork CI should be able to be a threat in the low portion of the "hi-low".

I'm a big Iverson fan. He may never be an NBA player, but a winning team needs that big, banging body. He has a ways to go before he reaches his potential, but hopefully we see more of that next year. Big guys take a while.

I don't think that shot at the end of the game was a result of ineptitude. I think he was off balance and make a snap decision to try to made a play instead of catching his balance with a dribble and going back up strong. It was the wrong decision. Maybe as a junior, with a little more experience and confidence, he gets two (or three) points out of a play like that.

He does need to shoot 500 free throws a day this summer.

I am a big Colton supporter so I hope he really harnesses his potential. He can really bruise with the best of them, but you are right, he needs to be able to hit a jump shot. The Tim Duncan off the glass from the turn and face would be nice...maybe that's asking a lot, but its a bank shot, how hard can that be?

He is also lacking confidence. Watch when he receives the ball in the post. He is looking to past first. Everytime. He just doesn't want it right now.
