A win today would be great but..........

The key, as its been all year, is the play of the OL and DL. We need to be able to run the ball, give Weber time, control TOP, and also find a way to contain Reesling. Remember how Kafka had his way running the ball?

If we can't keep Reesling in check, the offense will have to score over 30 to win. I am not confident that will happen. Even though KU has given up tons of points to good teams.

KU 35-Gophers 24

I am really looking forward to this game today Bayfield.

1.) Healthy Decker ... how much does he really mean to this team?
2.) Oline and the short term effect of Davis
3.) The running game ... 3rd and 2 and seeing Weber under center with 2 backs
4.) Defense making TO's happen again.

I am looking at a great showing by the boys today and think we have a good shot at winning.

Good luck, Gophers!
Stick it to 'em. If Minnesota can keep its offense on the field, they have a great shot at winning.

The key to the game will be the offense staying on the field and sustaining some drives. If the defense is out there more than half the game, we're in trouble.

I am looking forward to two things

One, how do the Gopher approach 3 and 2. And one A, will Coach Davis grab an offensive lineman by the mask, or kick him in the butt?

I sure hope that the local media is talking about this game a lot more in Minnesota than they are down here in Kansas City. KU is only about a 45 minute drive from KC but there is zero coverage about this bowl game.

I know the game is on the NFL network, but my dad said it's also on Comcast. Is this correct? If so, what channel would it be on?

I disagree Monty

The key to the game will be the offense staying on the field and sustaining some drives. If the defense is out there more than half the game, we're in trouble.

Out defense is going to put a major smackdown on the JayHawkeyes. Could be a big day for our running backs too!

Remember, the turning point of our whole season is when Eric Decker went down. They did not win again when he got hurt vs. Northwestern and if he would have been healthy the whole game, we just might have been able to pull it off. He is Weber's favorite target, especially on third downs and he forces the defenses to change their game plans.

I think the Gophers offense looked very sick after he went down and to be honest, he is the only true playmaker the Gophers have other than Weber on offense - this showed in spades after he left. This will change next year when we will get some more playmakers arriving on campus.

I am hoping we see the Gophers' offense play more like they did vs. Illinois than what we saw vs. Iowa. We aren't as bad as what we looked like vs. Iowa, but I will go with Bayfield on this one - the Gophers have a long ways to go before they can legitimately play with teams such as Kansas which are fairly solid on both sides of the ball. I think a score of 35-24 sounds about right to me, too.

Gophers 3, Kansas 2. DEFENSIVE Battle all the way. KS will get their 2 points on the last play of the game where we are punting from deep in our own territoryon the last play, and we choose to run the ball out of the endzone for a safety. How is that for a prediction???????????
