What's the last decent bowl matchup that we've gotten? Outback bowl six years ago? Somehow it always works out that the Gophers get bumped to a less desirable bowl.....against a worse opponent.

Meanwhile Nebraska is playing #15 Utah in Vegas.

They will be the best opponent we've faced in a bowl since Auburn. With changes to the timing of the portal and the fact that they'll be driven to prove they belong, this will be a much better game than our last three bowl games. I hope.

Somehow USAF thinks that the gophers wouldn’t get jumped if they beat northwestern

Not bad at all! Phoenix is a much better spot for a bowl game than NYC in December. The Lobos are 9-3 and will make it a good game and there are loads of Minnesotans down there to make a good crowd. Enjoy the sunshine and the margaritas! Gophers are 7-5 and this is a nice sunbelt vacation game. When they go 10-3, they'll get a better bowl.

The pinstripe bowl is a way better bowl than the rate bowl
