Aisle Seating

Our tix our about on the goal line on the east end. Fans are driving me crazy with how many are walking up and down during the course of a play. Some will stop right as the play transpires right in your line of sight. Any one else notice this lack of etiquette? I get the parents with young children. I wish we had aisle ushers that wouldn't let you go down during a play. Am I becoming a 47 year old grumpy old man?

Nope. This annoyed me in my 20s and now coming up on 60.

Consider moving to the other side of the aisle if the cost is the same. You'll be looking in the same direction but the "show stoppers" (literally) will be out of the line of sight.

This courtesy has gone away with most courtesies in the "More Me Now" era.

FYI it's "aisle". TCF Bank Stadium has no "isle" seating. Wish they did.

i'm not reading any posts, just the title of the thread...

My favorite is Duke's on Waikiki. Can't beat an awesome dinner with a view like that.

I think you'd have a hard time seeing from that far away.

Yeah, but the Mai Tai's are a bit tart for my liking. A House Without A Key makes a nice one, but was really surprised at how good the Mai Tai was at Cheeseburger in Paradise (across the street from Kuhio beach, just east of Waikiki).

I think the wife and I had breakfast 3 times in 7 days at Cheeseburger in Paradise. One of our favorites, as long as you can get used to the birds eating with you...

My favorite is the people who come in the wrong end of the aisle so they block 12-15 fans . I strongly encourage them to go the other way the next time.

I am on the "aisle" near the 20 yard line. Same issue for me. In past years in has been a bit of annoyance but manageable. This year, not so manageable. I am hoping that it is the non conference fans that are more worried about eating and drinking than football. Across the aisle is the next donation level...giving serious consideration to a move next year (already called this year and nothing "better" available (on the sunny side)).

I'm on the end of an isle as well... the amount of getting up and down is getting bonkers.

Worse is a group where one person leaves ... moments later another decides to get up.... moments later another.

Tough situation. Person on the end gets to get up to do whatever. Guess we need to allow all the others to do the same. Can be annoying, but wish that people would time it better kind of like they do at a Twins game as to the ushers allowing people to come back down to their seat.

What a completely baseless generalization. People give me a break...this has been going on since I started going to games in the late 70s. Most getting up around me are my age or older. It's part of going to the game.

Yep, get a seat in the middle of the row...so you can make everyone else move when you get up. Problem solved.

I got a seat on Leidner Isle

Actually, you are wrong. I can remember going to football, baseball, and hockey games where EVERYONE would wait until the play was over, next batter was up, or next face-off to come down not only the row, but the aisle as well. In fact, ushers enforced it. That era ended sometime in the 90's. Don't think you remember as clearly as when you were younger.

The exceptions are parents with children, hot women, handicapped and elderly. Everyone else get a "move it" or "hey, you make a good door". With some volume and a the right look, they will get the message. When the drunk tough guys turns around and tells me to F@@@ off which happens, they are greeted upon their return by an authority that sometimes boots them out the door. I knew this would be an issue when I picked my seats and for the most part it is fine. Most of the worst offenders are gone this year.
