The OL from STA has been offered according to GI. Sorry if already posted.

Shaft...just gettin all sorts of money

I wonder if we offered as an OL or DT? Anyone know what his thoughts of the staff were?

We all love the Shaft references, but he's obviously young enough where this wasn't just a coincidence. Either it is a family name, or he was specifically named after the man. Just a fun thought.

I highly recommend any of Isaac Hayes' work from the late-1960s and early-1970s. It's all available on CD or through MP3 download. Some really great stuff!

Would you pups rather refer to the Native American war hero, Ira Hayes? A guy who was a war hero, and died homeless. Google...Ira Hayes. The late Johnny Cash has a song in his honor.

We are also recruiting a running back named Barry White for 2013...

All that's missing is the standout cornerback prospect, Al Green.

I heard we have a shot. He was quoted as saying he's just searching for "Love and Happiness", and told the gopher coaches "Let's stay together".
:D

South Park's Chef has four years of college eligibility?

The musician Isaac Hayes wrote the theme song for the 1971 movie Shaft. The actor Richard Roundtree played the role of John Shaft in the movie and it's two sequels.

At the time, Shaft was "Hotter than Bond, cooler than Bullitt."

And he's one bad mother....

I can't believe I just gave in to the continued "Shaft" quotes that ruin the Isaac Hayes threads.....

IMO Shaft is still hotter than Bond and cooler than Buillitt. I highly doubt anyone could be smoother than John Shaft.
