It's been talked about for the last 3 seasons as a possibility, but tonight in Evanston it could finally become a reality. Beat Ohio State at home tonight & and I have a hard time envisioning any scenario where the Wildcats come selection Sunday aren't selected for their 1st ever NCAA Tournament, even if they end their regular season with a loss to Iowa. NU won't be out of the conversation for an at-large bid by any stretch with a loss vs. the Buckeyes, but things get much dicier absent another top-shelf win like OSU on their resume.

Here's to a Wildcats win tonight, and hopefully a great story for March Madness.

Another tough loss for Wildcats

Hang in there Widcats, you're still right on the cusp. Gotta' beat Iowa though, or it's probably too steep of a hill to climb.

Feel pretty safe in saying that there will be at least 1 or 2 at-large bids that go to teams with sub .500 regular-season conference records. Northwestern and UConn are the primary candidates, but Illinois, West Virginia and Mississippi State could be candidates, too.
