No way. I think it's a little premature to assume that everything is just over because we lost Nolen. No, Minnesota will not win the conference, but it can still contend for a top 6 spot and possibly make a nice run in the big ten tournament. And if not, the NIT could be a chance for this group to make a move. Someone stated this before, but all the Gophers need to do is scratch out 6 more regular season wins and maybe one in the conference tournament to qualify for the NCAA.

NORTHWESTRN IS A MUST WIN!!!!

I still think we make the tourney, but expectations after that have really plummeted.

I think we've still got a good chance to dance, but our hopes of anything after that have been severely damaged (unless Nolen makes a full and early recovery).

No, the season is not lost.

My team is on the floor and I have confidence in them.

What has been lost, along with Al for however long is the composure of some of our fellow "holers".

Go Gophers and get well soon Al!!

You've got to buck up man.!!!... you can't be dragging this negative energy into the

You guys sound like you're jumping ship. This season is far from over regardless of the loss of Nolen. We will absolutely make the tournament... I'm convinced of that already. This is a blow and I'll acknowledge that.... but I just see this as an opportunity to have some guys step up in the clutch...namely Blake, Maverick, Chip, and Austin. This is they're spotlight time (Blake's been in it for some time). If Devoe never got his chance to shine last year after Nolen went ineligible, we'd never look at Devoe as the player that he is. We'll be alright.... Let's just calm down.

Calmer than you are.

This team can still make the sweet 16 if Nolen is healthy by tourney time.

Big Lebowski quotes are always welcome. I may not share all of your optimism, but you've still brightened my day.

its a great chance for Maverick, Armelin and Hollins(to a lesser extent) to prove their worth and potential.

I think its also going to create more oppurtunities for Rodney to play small guard and have Hoff run the show with 3 bigs down low.

Imagine playing a lineup with Hoff at the point, Rodney on the Wing and Ralph on the high low with Mbakwe and Colton down low...Throw it up and go get it basketball! Got WV to the Final Four last year...lol

If they did that lineup they would have to play 2-3 zone. Thought it would be tough for people to get rebounds.

Not a lost season. Like everyone is saying, great opportunity for Mav/Chip/Austin to step in and get great experience as freshman. Just limit the mistakes and if we can count on these guys to combine for 12-16 points we will be just fine. It is too bad about Al because games like @Purdue and home against tOSU were winnable games now they might have to be checked in the loss column before we even play them.

Hopefully Al will be back by the Big Ten Tournament and we can do some damage there and make a run in the Tournament still. As they say only time will tell...
