The Corn Huskers are having their Pro Day.

When was the Gophers' Pro Day scheduled? It is too bad for TJ, CC, KM, AWjt, and others if Pro Day is cancelled.

If the Gophers were to cancel it, I think these players could still do the workout somewhere. Either at another school or privately. Agents would come together to make sure their clients are being seen.

Probably not a huge deal for Winfield and CC if pro day is cancelled. Much bigger impact potentially for guys like TJ and Martin. Also not great for the fringe guys trying to get noticed.

I would think that much of this could still be done via video. Not the same as having the teams and scouts there in person but at least they could see the players run their 40s and do some of the other drills.

Why couldn't all of the NFL scouts attend a pro day virtually? Seems like that's how it should be anyways. How can a scout attend say 30 different pro days? That'd be a huge travel commitment. Make 'em virtual.

There are multiple scouts that attend pro days and all teams don't go to everyone. The sessions are videotaped and made available to teams. Some teams use that if there are prospects they want to take a look at but are not high priority enough to send someone to the site.

Much of it could be done virtually but I am sure teams like that face to face contact and actually seeing players in person. Agents and teams will find a way to make it work so that players are seen one way or another because it is in everyones best interests for that to happen.

...all...athletics...events...cancelled...

It will hurt TJ the most, but he should keep training and hopefully, he can do private workouts before the draft (assuming that doesn’t get postponed too).

Lots of performance centers in major metro areas to host a pro day...dont need a campus to do it.

Yep, I am sure agents and scouts are actively working on alternatives for the players on their radar. May really hurt those fringe guys that are low level prospects but still trying to take their shot.

TJ is one who needs to get that 40 time on the books so they will no doubt figure something out.

My understanding is that all activities are called off. I think I saw a note that it includes Pro Days on College Campuses.

If the NFL wants to stage a pro day, I think it would have to be hosted at an NFL facility - i.e. the Vikes would have to hold it at TCO.

And - chew on this - if this gets really bad, the NFL draft might wind up being a "virtual" draft. No room full of people at tables. No players coming up on stage to get a hat from the commish and show off their new suit.

Corona is going to impact everything -everything in the country. Sports included.

short ornery norwegian comment: Corona is going to impact everything -everything in the country. Sports included.

Except Gopher Hole!! We'll row through all this.

Reminds of of....
"Can I ask a practical question at this point? Are we gonna do Stonehenge tomorrow night? "

Nothing stopping TJ from taping some drills (40 etc..) and sending it to the teams. If I was a small school player I would definitely make a "skills" tape with highlights and send it to the scouts.

TJ is very soft spoken unlike Antoine Winfield who has a louder voice and speaks rather well.

Hopefully, he has opportunity for a Pro Day eval somewhere somehow.

TJ is soft spoken. He needs a solid agent who is going to tout his skills and go to work for him.

You can tell Antoine learned a ton from his dad in regards to how he conducts himself in interviews. He is very comfortable with the media and he comes across really well.

TJ will get the 40 run and the information out to scouts. I am sure his agents are working hard on his behalf to bump his stock up as much as possible. No doubt everyone is scrambling trying to figure out how to handle things in this current environment.

There is unfortunately this idea among GMs that you want a guy with an overabundance of confidence, swagger, big d___ mentality, or whatever you want to call it.

Do you mean the ones that have overabundance of cockiness, talent, and pizzazz that blow all their earnings within three years after being out of the league?

Johnny Football!

How much money does Adrian Peterson have left? I'd like to know how much it cost for the live camel ride that he had on his birthday party the year he was suspended from the Vikings?

Did Mike Tyson blow all his millions?

If the high living party life style don't get them, the IRS will.

True, but I fail to see how any of it has anything to do with Tyler’s draft stock.

Swagger, greed, avarice, or the lack of it.

He has plenty of swagger. Watch that trick he does with the ball following the catch on the play starting at :51. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that spin. You have to pay close attention after he gets up from the ground. It was effortless.

I like that he acts like he's been there before... that's an ELITE type and style of swagger.

Never get enough highlights. Thanks.

That spiral spin rate was almost as good as Morgan's.

That is the best vertical spiral that I have ever seen.

IMHO, the Auburn game is the best game all around that I have ever witnessed as a Gopher fan. The best in over four decades.

That was a great physically beat down of a superior opponent that lose at eventual national champion LSU 20-23, and who defeated Alabama in a shootout 48-45 in the final regular season game of their SEC season.

Complete TOP domination. Corralling one of the top defenses in the country.

Auburn had firepower when they had the ball, but it was the Gophers that stole the show defensively and with a clock eating offense.

It was a game of tit for tat. That 73-yard bomb from Tanner Morgan to Tyler Johnson late in the game was a dagger in the Tiger's heart. In the end, TJ had a 12-reception 204-yard 2 TD performance against a formidable SEC team.

Other than TJ's 40 time, I don't know how much more the scouts want as proof. He has a very good resume already.

Of course, we have scouts and some GHers who believe the sewer that Matt Miller had spawned about TJ. That may be character assassination by someone who wants TJ's stock to fall for a reason.

For those of you who couldn't get enough football during this time of crisis - Outback Bowl 2020 - Complete Game:
