I could be imagining things but he’s looked hurt all year; lost that cutting, spinning out of contact, quick feet we saw before his injuries started so I’d argue yes. His elite virtues being patience, finding the gap it works out and is satisfying to watch most of the time. Hope he regains his burst in the off-season but maybe he never really had that to begin with. Going to have to compare pre versus post injury.
I think Taylor showed that he is willing and able to play through some soreness and minor issues.
but knowing PJ and his approach to injuries, if Taylor was really injured, he would not be on the field.
and Burns made a good point today on KFAN with Gaard. The coaches have kept Taylor's work-load down to a manageable level during the first half of the season. that means that he is healthier and able to handle a heavier work-load in key situations later in the season.
I think he did get hurt - had to sit out a few plays due to a knee to knee collision, but after a few plays off he was back in. I am sure his knee will be sore but more from swelling and bruising that comes with a collision like that. Not a ligment/tear sort of situation (or so I believe). Would not surprise me if he sits out a practice or two.
If we are handling Rutgers well, might make sense to limit DT's snaps. Give Majors, Mangham and Bangura some meaningful run; maybe even true FR Iboji. After Rutgers, DT get two weeks full rest and recovery period (2nd bye) before the Penn State home game, in which, if healthy, he could be a difference maker.
