Is Indiana in the Big Ten?

Seriously...the last time we played Indiana was Oct 4th, 2008. The next time we play Indiana will be no earlier than 2013 with a chance it gets pushed to 2015. With the 2-year rotation in cross-division opponents, there's basically a 1 in 3 chance we'll go 6 years without playing Indiana. It's guaranteed we go 4 years.

We don't play OSU, PSU, and Indiana next year or in 2012. Then one of those 3 teams won't be on our schedule in 2013 and 2014.

Talk about a scheduling oddity.

Expansion is really going to change the conference. The divisions are going to basically become sub-conferences, we will have much closer ties to the teams in our division, except for the protected rivalry game. It is wierd timing with Indiana, normally they would be rotating back on the schedule next season, but the divisions scramble that. It's going to take a while before things get back on a usual routine. And then we will expand again.

Let me ask you this: does it ever feel like a BigTen game when we actually do play Indiana?

I'm just grateful that OSU finally won't be on the schedule. Talk about an automatic loss.
