I know he's a used car salesman at best but I am seriously wondeing if he is in touch with reality:

"the talent is lights years ahead"

"program is going in the right direction"

"we're doing it the right way"

South Dakota got pummeled by NDSU - the NIU running back only got 15 yards against Illinois, over 200 against us. We could be one of the worst college football teams of all time and he just keeps insulting every Gopher fan out there with his nauseating B.S.! Someone please make him stop!

What's wrong with what he said? I think when it's safe to say that when it's all said and done, more guys that he recruited will be playing in the NFL than the guys that he inherited.

Nah, I think you are overrating Brewster's recruits and underrating Mason's holdovers. Of Brewster's recruits only Gray seems to be exhibiting NFL potential talent. I doubt there are more than 3 or 4 of Brewster's recruits that ending up smelling an NFL roster, but there were at least that many of Mason's holdover players who got signed by the NFL (I listed these in another thread). I'd even bet more of Mason's two star recruits see the NFL than Timmy's 4 star recruits.

It is painfully obvious his time has come, but really, what is he supposed to say?

that may be true, unfortunately he cannot coach them effectively. Another coach of a fair to middlin ilk wins 7 or 8 games with this team, easy.

Maybe in the NFL they'll have a chance to win a few games for once.

I think the problem, or the head scratcher isn't that his kids aren't "all that", but rather why we suck so bad with such talented kids. You can see their athleticism on the field, we just suck as a unit. That's coaching and experience. How much of which is the real question. It doesn't add up. Cos is proven enough that his team shouldn't be struggling like it is. Yet it is. Horton is doing fine.

Can't make it up.........can't even dream it......

That's because most of them are still young, you horrible, horrible retard. Among Mason's holdovers, how many displayed NFL potential while they were in their first, second, or third year in the program?
Still young? Even the class of 2007?

These two actually do seem accurate to me. Talent wise, I think we are light years ahead on the whole. Obviously we had some great individuals under Mason but I think across the board we are more talented now. That was only reinforced a few months back when Mike Sherels posted his impression of the recruits Brew brings in on here.

As far as doing things the right way, I agree. Academics are up, and even more, in a year when Brew is absolutely coaching for his livelihood he has the integrity to bench starters. That is doing things the right way, IMO.

I can not however make a case that the program is going in the right direction, and for that reason the era probably needs to end.

No, not the class of 2007. Why would I include the class of 2007?

Possibly because that is the first class to have Mr. Recruiter's signature on the bottom of each and every LOI?

If you would like to revise history, let's move to class of 2008 and the greatest college football recruiting class ever assembled. They are now juniors--or what's left of it--correct? Or is three years into a program still a tad too early to shine?? But wait, don't some college FB players opt for the NFL draft after just three years in college?? I'm getting very confused.....please spin me straight!

Can't make it up.........can't even dream it......

You're quite the dick wad aren't you?

I'm sure your rock is missing you, why don't you go crawl back under it with the rest of the scum?

I am not so sure that the evaluation of the talent has been correct. So far the on field performance of the linebackers has been the worst I can remember. On paper they may have talent, but when they get on the field it has been terrible. The defensive backfield has been on par with most of Mason's team. They have played decent but get burned occasionally for long plays.

I am afraid the Big Ten teams are going to put up bigger numbers than we have seen against them. They played better against usc so who knows.

You are a shattered worthless little POS that adds nothing positve or worthy to anything. It's good you see youself as the rest of us see you. It's the first step out of your nasty pathetic existence.

I think they have more raw talent, in the bigger-faster-stronger sense. Talent alone doesn't make a good football team though.

And your knowledge of Football is well below ZERO...

How's the quiet confidence working out?

I actually have to give Souhan a prop for a comment he made prior to the season. I paraphrase, "Is it a good thing if the guys are faster but they are running in the wrong direction."

You resort to lame namecalling after I called you on your idiotic statement. And several of Mason's recruits flashed NFL potential in their undergraduate years including Decker, Van DeSteeg and many of Mason's running backs. Besides Gray what other four star recruits do you see being signed by NFL teams down the road? Give me names. I know they are young and that is why I said potentially 3 or 4 guys may pan out before graduation, but this just shows how ridiculous your original statement was.

I'm not even sure if Gray is even NFL Material to be honest. He's good for a QB that's playing WR but compared to some actually *GOOD* WR's out there in College he's just average. Maybe he'll change my mind but I'm not too impressed with him being able to haul in balls against the mighty Defenses of MTSU, USD & NIU. It'll be interesting to see what he does against the Big Ten but when compared to someone like Decker he flails in comparison. They need to put him at QB and let him grow there...

How's are these quotes working out for you?

Just wait...you'll see right after the MSU Game...

But how does it feel knowing you were wrong about pretty much everything going into the Season?

Which category were you...the 8 wins or 7 wins? :D

Make sure you send that to all the NFL coaches then, because I'm sure from your extensive experience, you would be the first person they listen to.

Gray has played 4 games at WR in his life. I would say he's done pretty damn good for someone with no experience there. But what do I know?
