6-6 with a tough schedule and new coaching is not great but certainly not the worst. Yet, this year there just might be a football GOD smile on the Gophers. If Neveda upsets Boise State and or Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State the Gopher could find themselves play in the Alamo Bowl. You guessed it Oklahoma 6-6 would become Bowl eligible with their victory over Oklahoma State and could play 6-6 Minnesota.
You can throw all the negative BS you want out their, but what a game it would be in San Antonio.
Just like the Claiming Crown at Canterbury. Each level of thoroughbred can test their skills against the same record. Doesn't mean it will be a bad race, just not the Kentucky Derby.
So if Minnesota plays Oklahoma this year (actully 2010) enjoy it, next year may be the DERBY........forgot...THE ROSE BOWL.
