I broke this down and saw the following:

The ball bounced changing ball tragectory from downward (which is bad but essentials get only a glancing blow) to upward after the bounce (essentials get the full impact). This is tough to watch.

But the best part was the old lady in the front row pointing it out to the dude sitting next to her.

There is so much good about this film clip.

There is so much good about this film clip.

That's some good analysis work there. I missed the old lady pointing it out the first 13 times I watched the clip, but after seeing your analysis, I definitely see her point, which adds to the enjoyment of said clip.
