Iowa St. beat Texas on the road (I know, but they're still Texas) and lost to Nebraska by one.

Last I checked, Iowa St. is in the Big 12 and not the MAC. It is also my understanding that the Big 12 is better than the MAC. So why is it that shocking that a Big 12 team beat a MAC team?
