Iowa State fans were angry about it all. They were angry about the Cyclones' blown five-point lead over Kansas in the final 32 seconds of the regulation. They were angry about a controversial non-call on a potential Elijah Johnson charge that gave KU two game-tying free throw attempts. They were angry that Johnson made an uncontested dunk in the final seconds of an overtime rout. And they were especially angry that their team had been denied a crucial victory for its NCAA tournament hopes and an extension of a 22-game home winning streak.

To channel the anger, a small number of fans threw objects on the court. One man decided to go right to the source.

An Iowa State fan confronted Kansas coach Bill Self after his postgame interview with ESPN's Holly Rowe and had to be pulled away by policemen. KUSports.com has pictures of the man alleged to have confronted Self.

Go Gophers!!

That was a great basketball game. I hope the gophers can go back to letting it fly like that!

I don't see where this is even an issue. All the dumb $hit did was behave like a typical Iowa State or U of Iowa fan.

I was at the game. Unbelievable amount of offense. Sure was fun to watch. Would love to college bball reduce the 35 second clock. So much more exciting.

How about a 10 second shot clock that would be REALLY exciting...if you ascribe to the view that less time spent playing defense ar running an offensive sets per possession, is somehow so much more exciting

Haha! I was expecting Pantherhawk to be a little younger and more disheveled : ) I like how you can see who I think is the angry guy's wife in the photo to the right and she's thinking, this is going to be a really long drive home.

Not sure what Self had to do with most of the things. He's not the ref. As for the dunk at the end: is Self supposed to have a chart that shows when it's okay and not okay to dunk in those situations?

Also, did anyone see Hoiberg go over to one of the refs immediately after the game? He did that before he went over to shake hands with Self.

Self also talked to Johnson and told him he wasn't happy with him doing it either, so you can be mad at a whole lot, but Self is one of the last guys he should be attacking.

I do ascribe to that view. Nice sarcasm with the 10 second clock. I was thinking something more along the lines of 24-28 second shot clock.

...and shorten the court.
