Hey y'all, as a Hawkeye stuck in Gopher country, I'll be making the trip to the battle for Floyd like usual. We always make the trip, and have tailgated at the State Fair grounds since the move to TCF, as our group is fairly large with a mix of Hawks and Gophers. With the game being at 11 am, tailgating can't start until 7 am, which stinks, but nothing we can do about two average football teams playing. Anyways, I was curious if you guys have any other options or better options, more than likely a non University lot as there isn't anything other than the fairgrounds on gophersports.com for tailgating.

For those of you who actually reply with insight, thank you in advance.

That's the first time I've ever heard someone refer to them self as stuck in a state other than iowa.

"Hello friends, I hope this reaches you well. I have found myself stranded in a strange land. One filled with tall buildings and hairless women. The livestock are both too few and too prudish for my liking. All attempts at copulation have been met with scorn and incessant baah-ing".

Oh, who the hell am I kidding? Like an Iowegian would know how to spell "copulation".

I've seen a few private lots here and there but your best option is probably going to be the Fairgrounds.

East River Flats is a Minneapolis city lot that charges $10 and is about a 15-minute walk to the stadium. A great spot on a nice day.

Stubhub.com and look for tailgating passes for that day. I bet you can find someone who can't take the cold or is disenchanted from 1 road loss selling something.

Always wondered how the tailgating is down by the river. Coming from Sioux Falls, looking for a spot to hang out for a few hours.
