Until you get to the roots of all the problems, they'll still have issues. Junior is part of the problem in Iowa.
 

Everyone gets a settlement except Ferentz. I totally believe the former players, but paying them off seems crazy to me. The school is only trying to buy their silence.
 

So what if other players say hey wait a minute, I am not included in this payoff. Where does it stop, and how far does it go back? Does it begin with Kirk Ferentz's Year 1?

Coming out and showing how much they are willing to pay, the former players may say that is not enough. That is turning up to be another Michigan State fiasco.

How far does allegations racism go? Is it just the athletic department? There has to be a lot of depressed folks down in Iowa City.

They better cut the fat pork out of the recruiting budget.
 



I think folks need to read the final paragraph of the article, not just the headline. The article is subtle satire until the final paragraph, in which, probably in the interest of full disclosure, it goes full National Lampoon. In short, I wouldn’t get too excited about these “settlements.”
