Interesting Adam Rittenberg blog: BT teams differ on drug policies, penalties

Iowa's drug policy:

Tester: "Do you take drugs, Danny?"
Player: "Every day."
Tester: "Good. Good.

I would think this is something the Big 10 schools should be able to standardize, so all schools operate the same.

My thought? First offense is a one year ban from playing in games. Second offense = you are gone.

Having a policy with no or very minimal repercussions is a joke.

Coach Ferentz: "I've suspended players for a quarter against Eastern Illinois more talented than you.....didn't want to do it, but I OWED it to them!"

Reporter: "Adam, what are your hobbies outside of football?"
Adam Robinson: "I enjoy skinny-skiing, going to bullfights on acid..."

WI recruit: "Here's a check for $5,000?!?"
Barry Alvarez: "Keep it."

Under the Mason regime after your third strike you were sent packing, maybe things have changed since then.

Hey! Save me a toke.
Oops...Got to do my "doctor" thing.

What are the policies for being arrested? How many times have we seen players get a minimal suspension for beating up their girlfriends and choking them?

Booker from Wisconsin writes "It's not problem, as long as you aint killin' 'em!"

I think it's a joke that there is no playing time penalty for the first positive test at most schools. At the very least, make them sit out a half or something.
