going to a smokey Bayfield bar on New Years Eve?? Not! Or maybe watch a fuzzy and oft segmented computer stream. Crapola.

Comcast digetal has the NFL network. It's 736 in Minnetonka.

channel 212 on DirecTV. In HD. The downside is convincing your wife to having a NORAD sized dish on your roof. Right after mine went up, my neighbor asked me if I was searching for intelligent life elsewhere. I pointed out that since it was pointed towards Iowa I'd probably come up empty.

Got a nice chuckle out of that. :)

Yes. I have one of those monuments on my roof. And that's what it will always be. A monument after being jerked around by DirecTV.

Until July 2010 when Wisconsin finally joins the rest of civilized world with this issue.

Comcast digital has the NFL network, but on the super-special package.

Man, we get the only bowl not on espn. Will anyone not from the midwest watch this game?

The one poor perk of going home for winter break--at school I have Comcast+Sports entertainment package, at home in Wisconsin's great countryside--the digital T.V's lineup of approximately 7 channels!!!!

How long is the contract with the Insight bowl? Having a college bowl game on the NFL network is ridiculous. It's just to get people who would not otherwise be interested in the NFL Network to sign up. My choices are to go to a bar to watch, try to find it online or to listen to the radio.

It's possible they'll make the station a "free preview weekend" sort of thing. They've done it before.

Comcast did that last year in Minneapolis (the day after I had the sports tier added to my cable just for the game - figures:rolleyes:)

What Comcast package do you have, that doesn't include the NFL Network?

I have the extended basic, which is just one step higher than basic and it's now included.

Last year Comcast gave us a preview or something. I was able to watch the game. Maybe all my whining and complaining to Comcast actually paid off. This year we have it. You can snowmobile down to the Cities and watch it:)

We have Charter up here, and they're nowhere near getting the NFL Network. I'm hoping to head to the game, but if not, it will be bar time.

that is incorrect. comcast added the nfl network (along with espnu, nba network, nhl network, tennis network, mlb network, etc.) to virtually all of their digital cable packages back in the summer. before that (i.e. last year's insight bowl game) it used to only be on comcast's $5 sports tier option.

if you have expanded-basic or higher cable from comcast then you have access to the nfl network and do not have to buy the special $5 sports tier anymore to get it.
