I was checking the game while at a wedding today and saw the injury to Zach M. there was no sound so do not know if they said what happened or if there is any update. News anyone?

They put a cast on it so it looked pretty bad. They never showed a replay so it was hard to say exactly what happened.

Well, he looked pretty despondent, knowing his season was over, but he did not look real upset, like a blown ACL would imply.

The fact at that several high level persons, such as Dr. David O. were right there for a very long time, implies that this was a broken bone, not a blown knee. Had the ACL been gone, they would have moved him off the field sooner.

This outcome is relatively OK, for our Center at least.

Yeah, it didn't look good. It's too bad, he was having one of his best games as a Gopher.

So, assuming Mottala is done for the year and Christenson has a high-ankle sprain (meaning he is likely out until a bowl game), do we move Epping to center full-time the next two-games and work-in Bjorkland (or someone else at Guard), and who else works at Center (at least as the back-up)? Might we have to see Isaac Hayes' shirt pulled this late in the year to play Center (or at least be the back-up the next two weeks)? Do we have another projected Center to back-up Epping?

According to KFAN last night, he has a broken leg requiring surgery. I wish Zach the best...

I'm sure we'll get an update in about 30 minutes when Sid asks Kill about the injury to "Motorola".

When watching the game yesterday, I noticed as soon as the trainers got to Zach he immediately pointed to his left thigh while not moving(laying on stomach). Didn't grab knee, ankle or anything else. First thought, broken leg.

Broken tibia. To Mottla...Zach Mottla. Mottla.

Got it?

The most interesting item here is that T. Olson was listed at backup LT and Bjorklund came in the game at LG. These linemen are playing all over the place. Kill mentioned Pirsig was next in line to lose redshirt as he travels to road games. Hope that doesn't happen. Ed Olson needs to get healthy.

What's the story with T. Olson?

LMAO...spit out my coffee, you a-hole!
Best part was when they are all done with Kill and going to commercial, Mona says, "well, we survived." Assume it was directed to producers.

I don't know who runs that outfit, but they'd need about two promotions to attain the rank of imbecile. It's hard enough for guests to communicate with Sid, yet they insist on broadcasting live from the Dome while the a band beats on drums in the background.

That was classic. Sid asking Kill "what was wrong" with an offense that rushed for over 230 yards and had 34:26 time of possession.

They must text Kill's assistant with Sid's questions. Generally, they are unintelligible.

Have to think with only 2/3 games left in the year the coaches will do everything possible not to pull any redshirts at this point. I am sure the focus this week will be getting an emergency center ready out of the crop of guys that can play this year if Epping can't hold up.

Didn't Foster Bush make the trip to Illinois? I thought he was a real possibility to play more this year? Our O-line is so beat up, it is difficult to know who isn't hurt anymore.

As sad as this news is for him. It's much better news that its a lower leg than an upper leg. He will have minimal rehab and will be 100% for his senior season.

Kill Quote from M. Fuller tweet. Have to teach someone to play center and not take redshirt off anyone.

My guess is Epping at center, Tommy O comes back at his guard spot and Bjorklund practices at center.

So is Barker still out?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he got hurt being tackled about 6 yards into the endzone (should've been a penalty, frankly).

If 6 yards into the end zone is code for the "goal line" then yes you are correct. This play has already been dissected on here and deemed legitimate.

I disagree. Bull shot cheap shot. if that was a sideline, it's 15 yards and a possible ejection. It's in the endzone, and a "he just wants to win" play. B f'in S.

Epping will be moved to C.

If I had to guess, Campion will be taking some reps at C this week for an emergency situation. He played a lot of C at prep school and I believe they wanted him to sort of be a backup versatile OL last year (prior to his injury).

My guess is that we'll go: Lenkiewicz - Bjorklund - Epping - Bak - Campion
If either is Olson is back, plug them into their positions.
If Campion is needed, Bush is next up at OT
