Injury report:

Head coach Jerry Kill has announced the following players will miss Saturday's game vs. Wisconsin:

Brendan Beal (knee)

Josh Campion (head)

Jimmy Gjere (head)

Eric Jacques (ankle)

Marcus Jones (knee)

Troy Stoudermire (arm)

Go Gophers!!

Anyone know if Gjere has been ruled out for the year or are they still holding out hope he'll recover in time to play again?

I have the same question on beal ... I never heard his official prognosis? Is he done for the year?

Is he done after this year regardless or would he be back next year possibly?

Nothing has been said about next year but I assume he is back. I know he underwent surgery sometime around the USC game.

I've seen tweets that Gray is banged up again.

Anyone know the wisconsin injuries?

Biggest one for UW is probably safety Aaron Henry, who is one of the leaders on defense. He sprained his ankle last week against Purdue, but has said he will play on Saturday. He may play, but he won't be 100%. Henry is definitely an important part of the defense, especially since the the other starting safety and Henry's backup have not played all that great this season.

I believe it was confirmed to be an acl.

Is Beal going to be eligible to be a 6-year guy? Also, did Gjere get injured early enough to get a medical RS (I can't remember which game he got hurt).

Beal already is a 6-year guy.

2008: RS at Florida
2009: Injury, later granted medical waiver (at Florida)
2010: Transfer year, RS Freshman at Minnesota
2011: RS Soph
2012: RS Jr
2013: RS Sr

Gjere played every game up through Michigan this year (5 games), so he has no shot at a medical waiver.

Really too bad for alot of these guys, this game would be a great opportunity for Stoudemire and Jones to do damage on kickoff returns. Also this type of game would feature a big MLB like Beal.

Our depth will be excellent in 1-2 years, but right now these injuries hurt worse than they should.

I think we'll see Gray banged up most of the time. He's a running QB that almost seems to enjoy contact. He's not like Denard Robinson who is very quick and avoids big collisions.
