Always interesting to see how the opponent grades themselves:

COACHING

C

Should've offered some resistance on Santoso's 52-yard field goal and the third-quarter woes eventually have to be more thoroughly examined. Those lulls are killing the Boilermakers and it's about more than just practicing halftime. Credit John Shoop for attacking the flats with the quickness of Danny Anthrop and lining up Akeem Hunt all over the field put to pressure on the Gophers. Defensively, stopping the run continues to be issue No. 1.

PLAY OF THE GAME

Tough choice between Appleby's failed fourth-down conversion and Taylor Richards' penalty, but keeping the ball is the priority. If the Boilermakers convert, more time is run off the clock, and whether the drive results in a touchdown or a field goal, you force the Gophers to reach the end zone to win the game.
