I'm sure the atmosphere will be worse than the outdoor tailgates but it's nice they're making it an option. Hopefully it gets some of the people who usually show up at game time or who are at their first ever Gopher game to come early and hopefully they want to come back and do it again more often.

What games are going to be on the video boards?

GLC does this before every game, btw.

Any idea what beers and brats might cost at a shindig like this? Buddy group trying to decide where to hang. No official tailgaiting this weekend.

I’d guess beers are in the $7-8 range. When I’ve gone to U events with alcohol that has been the range. I don’t usually eat as that interferes with my drinking.

I’m going to this. Going to spend money here to try to encourage these types of events from the University. If it flops, they are less likely to repeat. Plus all my money goes to them, not Sally’s or BWW. Every dollar they make is money that goes to something I love.

I think it would be really cool if the opened up the Pavilion for a viewing party for the Northwestern game if it's an 11 AM game. They would need the Pavilion for a 7 PM Volleyball game against Iowa. Watch the football game at 11, Women's basketball in Williams at 2, and Volleyball at 7. Could be a full day. And the division title could be on the line against Northwestern.

That would be fun.

One of the early years at TCF we started with a road game and you could watch the game on the field.

That was the 2010 game against Middle Tennessee State. I took my three year old. She had fun running around the field. More fun for a September game than for a November game! Have the Gophers had viewing parties at TCF for any other games?

Or maybe the Gophers could open the doors early for the women's basketball game and put the game on the scoreboard at Williams until it's time for the basketball game.

Yeah I was there too.

That is the only viewing party I know of.

One of my college buddies always asks, “why would you waste a $40 buzz on a $5 hot dog?”
