Normally, I don't think about Indiana football very much. Especially since the Gophers hardly ever play them any more. But....... they are a Big Ten/Eighteen team. And I really don't like the whole overall Notre Dame football thing. SO..... here is to the Hoosiers kicking some in-state butt on Friday!

I will not be able to watch; my wife and I will be at a baby Wild hockey game Friday night, facing the Chicago Wolves.......

This is the battle of the unprovens. I'd say overrated but that seems a bit harsh. Both had weak schedules.

  • Indiana would be a sweet story beating Notre Dame.
  • Texas has always been one of my favorite teams after the Gophers, lesser now that they are in the SEC, but I'd still like to see them pull it out.
  • I don't like cheering for Ohio State, but I like Ohio State more than any other SEC team (minus Texas)
  • I hope SMU wins - they've been disrespected saying they don't belong. Would be fun to see them win so they can say they do belong.

I can't bring myself to root for Wisconsin or Notre Dame....ever.

I always pull for (I think "cheer" is too strong of a word) B1G teams in non conference and bowl games. That isn't to say there aren't some B1G teams that require me to hold my nose while pulling for them, but Indiana will come as close to cheering as I will allow. I really do hope they win. A B1G team against Notre Dame (and all of the BS I have witnessed from ND fans over the years) is almost enough for me to wear crimson and cream on Friday. Almost.

Basically, anything non conference with SEC teams +Notre Dame always has my interest because I always like to see those teams go down.

I'd like to see the B1G be the undisputed premier conference in college athletics.

I kind of hope it just goes chalk so people will question why we even have a big playoff.

This is not everyone I understand, but I need to wager on these games to be really invested. I put my biggest bet if the year on the ND moneyline, I hope they blow out ol Cig so I can stop hearing about him being this all time great coach.

I also put $10 on every underdog in non playoff bowl games, hopefully I'm up money but if not at least gives me something to cheer for. WVU at least made it exciting game 1 🤣

For sure with Wisconsin. I'm kind of indifferent towards Notre Dame...just depends who they are playing.

I'll be at the real Wild game, facing the Utah No-Names.
I was actually bummed to find out the one game this weekend I really wanted to see was on Friday.

Hope Indiana wins but would love for Penn State to get it shoved right down their throat. Their HC is at the top of the jerk tree.

Indiana's coach seems like more of a jerk to me...

Everyone knows why we have a playoff....$$$$.....it isn't going anywhere regardless of how it plays out.

Having said that, to keep variety in it the other guys need to do well this year (ASU, Boise, Clemson...). If it is just Big Ten vs. SEC then that will add fuel to the fire that Bama should have been included this year in spite of their record.

Both the Penn State and the Indiana coach seem like dicks.
Boise State's coach might be an OK guy, but I wish that he would stop talking about Jesus. IMHO, as far as religion goes, "to each his/her own," but I doubt that Jesus is overly concerned about a football game.
