Wow were they bad. The awful 3 yard onside kick, a couple of punts under 20 yards. That onside kick sanfu really killed any chance they had of momentum. I was glad we went for the gut punch right after that.

Yeah, this was a big story in the game. Undermanned FCS teams are usually in trouble on STs anyway, but their kickers just killed them. Carpenter gotta keep those kickoffs in bounds, but man, he's sure proving a lot of people wrong by nailing these 40+ yards FGs.

That was the worst onside kick attempt I've ever seen in any level of football.

With the touchback going to the 25 and an out of bounds kick to the 35, the kickoff to the corner is a medium risk, high reward play.

The wind was blowing really hard. Couldn't get it out of the end zone that direction. The corner kicks by Carpenter were all close. I think the ref missed one of them that landed in the end zone and went out?
