So from what I understand, if the Hoosiers beat Bucky on Saturday, and then win won of their last two games, they are playing in Indianapolis in front of scores of passionate fans (joking).

Good for them! I will be cheering for them...it will be us sometime soon.

They just have to beat Wisconsin and then stay at least tied with them. If Wisconsin loses out, Indiana won't have to win another game.

Very cool! Hopefully their fans will show up on Saturday. It's an 11 am game so looking forward to watching it before the Gophers.

The other side of the division is a joke right now. You have the top two teams on probaion in OSU and PSU. You have arguably the two worst teams in the conference this year in PUR and ILL and then in between you have a very average by recent standards Wisconsin team and a rebuilding Indiana team. For Indiana this could be one of their greatest shots ever to sneak into the title game if they can find a way to win this weekend.

Wisconsin finishes with Ohio State at Camp Randall and then on the road in Happy Valley. Indiana finishes at Happy Valley and at Purdue. There is a good chance Wisconsin loses both of those final two games. Of course it will be a hollow trip to Indianapolis but they won't turn it down. The downside is they will have Nebrask aor Michigan waiting for them. Would love to see it happen though because before the year strated it was widely thought Wisconsin was going to cruise to the titile this year with OSU and PSU out of the picture.

With this talk of Indiana I wonder who is farther along in the rebuilding process, us or them? Both squads are in year 2 with new coaches. They lost 2 non conf games but have managed to win 2 conference games to this point. They are really young across the board and have had to break in new QB's much like we have. Wonder which squad gets back to being relevant again first.

Agreed with your take MNVCGUY. I have enjoyed watching Indiana this year (watched the MSU and part of Iowa game). They have a good offense and they have a few playmakers. I think it would be great to have some of the tables turn and have teams that have been down for a while rise up to take the place of the Hawkeyes and Badgers.

On a side note, I was on the Hoosiers forum and there is a thread about Purdue's coach Hope being relieved. According to the thread it hasn't been publicly announced yet, but he's playing out the season. Have you guys heard any rumors to that effect?

I remember hearing rumblings about this being a make or break year for Purdue. This is Hope's fourth I believe and the team was supposed to be good so they can't be happy with the way things have turned out with the 5 game losing streak. Don't have any inside info but much like Mason in 2006 I think his only shot to avoid being fired right after the year will be to win the last three then they will probably need to win the bowl game as well for him to have a shot at coming back next year.

Danny Hope is done regardless of how they finish. Last week's actual attendence vs. PSU was 23,000 (announced was roughly 42,000).

Believe it or not, I've heard the main target to replace Hope is Dave Dorean (sp?) at NIU. Rumor has it, both sides have already started talking.

Man would the NIU fans be pissed if that happens. Two coaches in such a short time frame bolting for the Big Ten. One of those things you have to accept and understand being in the MAC but it still sucks for the players and fans.

Indiana is doing well on the recruiting trail, they flipped a 4 star DE away from Iowa, and a 4 star DT that was a former badger verbal is giving them a serious look. They have 2 other 4 star guys on board as well.

4 Star players flipping? For money or other gifts?

Wow! There is something strange brewing in Bloomington. This is going to be a fun game to watch before the Gophers vs. Illinois. I would love to see Indiana take out Wisconsin.

I would say we are the only one of the 2 that could get BACK to being relevant AGAIN.

It's a good story (though it could be really embarrassing for the Big Ten if IU goes to Indy) and Wilson is doing a nice job, but I get the feeling Bucky will take care of business. Coming off a bye week and a stinging loss to MSU, Dufus Face will have the Badgers ready.

I'm a big Hoosier fan these last few months.. =D

An important game for the Badgers for another reason. They finish with OSU and @PSU. If they lose to IU yet are able to back into INDY because of IU losses they could be 6-6 making it a Rose Bowl or go home proposition. This is likely Indiana's fate either way as they'd have to win out to enter that game 7-5. Of course we could see a UCLA exception through appeal because the Big Ten has so few bowl teams.

I am always impressed that Dufus Face manages the find the field from the locker room. He must follow the captains down the tunnel otherwise the Badgers would end up like that team from the Allstate commercial where they get lost and run out into the road.

Haha! Like Spinal Tap when they can't find the stage in Cleveland.

Becky has had 2 weeks to heal up. I find it surprising they're going with injury prone Phillips at QB
over O'Brian. Wisconsin matches up well with Indiana and won't have trouble moving the ball. Looks like a packed house. I'm calling an upset. Hoosiers 38 Becky 31

They tried to catch lightning in a bottle again with O'Brien and it failed miserably. It is clear that kid just can't cut it in the Big Ten so I am not surprised to see them going with a different option. Would love to see Indiana pull the upset though my guess is Wisconsin will find a way to come out on top.

Kevin Wilson is kind of a nut, but it appears the guy can coach and is going to get the Hoosiers moving in the right direction.

If Bielema was not such a dufus, maybe he could be 7-0 in his career against the Gophers.

While it seems odd for the Hoosiers to be in the BTCG, anybody but becky...
Go Hoosiers!!!
Chump the skunks!!!

With how thoroughly you guys have dominated us, that's the best you come up with?

Furthermore, if every Bielema win were a national championship, you would have matched us!

Cheering for IU on this fine Saturday morning. Would be quite the story for them.

However, if they do make it to the BTCG and somehow win it, we would have the longest Big Ten Championship drought all to ourselves :(

If the first 9 minutes of this game are any indication of how this plays out. It's going to be an ugly ugly blow out.
